Dolorcast Radial Shockwave Therapy
SPORTSMED·SA is the first medical practice in South Australia to offer patients Dolorclast Radial Shockwave Therapy, this world-class, safe and non-invasive treatment for soft tissue conditions.
Widely used in North America and Europe, the Dolorclast Radial Shockwave Therapy works by sending high energy soundwaves through a probe which is held against the affected area. The shockwaves pass through the skin and spread outwards into the underlying tissue, increasing blood flow and metabolic activity around the site of pain, accelerating the healing process and providing an analgesic affect.
Dr Peter Barnes, Dr Mark Fisher, Dr Graham Lee and Dr Damien Newberry will be offering this treatment to patients with the following conditions:
> Plantar fasciitis
> Epicondylitis (medial and lateral)
> Trochanteric bursitis/tendinopathy
> Achilles tendinopathy/enthesopathy
> Painful trigger points
> Patella tendinopathy
> Chronic enthesopathies/tendinopathies
> Medial tibal stress syndrome
> Calcific tendinopathy eg. Rotator cuff.
If you believe you have a patient that would benefit from Dolorcast Radial Shockwave Therapy, please refer them to any of the above doctors.
