SPORTSMED·SA is a sports medicine clinic located four kilometres east of the Adelaide CBD. The Stepney branch is a purpose built facility with medical, physiotherapy, podiatry, orthopaedic and other allied health services. Onsite at the Stepney branch is a 45-bed orthopaedic hospital and day surgery which includes four theatres.

There are presently twelve orthopaedic surgeons in the clinic dedicated to lower limb and upper limb surgery.
Orthopaedic patients range from adolescents to active older people requiring treatment for sporting injuries, arthritis conditions with a heavy emphasis on joint replacements.
SPORTSMED·SA treats approximately 130,000 patients per year, with over 7,500 procedures performed annually. Orthopaedic patients range in age from adolescents to active older people. The scope of treatment varies from sporting injuries (with an emphasis on arthroscopic surgery and reconstructions) to arthritis conditions, (with an emphasis on joint replacements and other forms of open surgery). Half of these procedures are day surgery cases.
