Robotic knee surgery technology is well-established at sportsmed and the introduction of the CORI Surgical System is the latest in a long line of surgical innovations. The first Australian procedure was conducted by Dr Tony Spriggins at the sportsmed Orthopaedic Hospital in June 2021.
next generation robotics platform
The CORI Surgical System is a next generation robotics platform used for both partial and total knee replacement procedures. Distributed by global medical technology specialists, Smith & Nephew, the robotic CORI Surgical System offers surgeon-controlled robotics.
Your orthopaedic surgeon uses computer assistance to collect the unique shape and motion of your knee to virtually plan your procedure. Robotic assistance is then used by your surgeon to perform your procedure.
