Hydrotherapy (hydro) or aquatic physiotherapy is an active, evidence-based physical therapy aimed at treating a variety of musculoskeletal and orthopaedic conditions.
Classes take place in a heated, indoor pool with the supervision of an experienced physiotherapist and patients receive individualised, specific exercises aimed at mobility, strength, flexibility and fitness depending on their injury and needs. There is a strong focus on technique and patient programs are gradually progressed as they improve.
Prior to attending the pool, you must have a 30-minute assessment at a cost of $98.00, conducted by one of our Physiotherapists. Patients can then purchase a multi-visit hydrotherapy card at sportsmed Physiotherapy reception.

10-class pass – $340
Health care fund rebates are available. We also can manage RTWSA/Workcover and CTP injuries once they have a referral from one of our physiotherapists.
