Welcome Sam Sverdloff

The sportsmed Physiotherapy team are happy to welcome Sam to our family.

Sam will be working primarily at the Mitcham and Morphett Vale clinics.

We asked Sam a few questions to get to know him better.

Tell us about yourself?
Locally born and raised in Adelaide, I studied a Master of Physiotherapy at the University of South Australia and completed my studies in 2012. I have a 5 month old daughter and share the same first and last name with my wife.

Where have you been working?
Prior to joining the sportsmed team, I spent 4 years in Katherine in the Northern Territory working in private practice. The rural location provided opportunity that I would otherwise never have seen. Before this, I was in Adelaide working in private practice and was involved with lots of different sporting clubs.

What is your favourite thing about your job?
I love being able to make a significant positive difference in someone’s life. Having the opportunity to help people rehabilitate from injury and enabling them to return to the things they enjoy doing is something that makes it easy to turn up to work every day. I also enjoy working with anything to do with sport. I love talking sport and helping people return to sport.

Do you have any pets?
Yes – a 7-year old border collie.

What would you sing at a karaoke night?
Can’t go past ‘The Killers – Mr Brightside’.

Do you have any hobbies?
4 wheel drive adventuring and camping. Basically, anything outdoors.

What do you do to keep fit?
Long distance running and gym.

What is your favourite movie?
I really enjoy a comedy or a war movie. Favourites would be Deadpool, or anything from Adam Sandler in his earlier movies.

Thanks for sharing, Sam! We hope you’re settling in well!
