About Dance and Performance

Whether you are a dancer, performer or passionate about your calisthenics, rhythmic gymnastics, circus or cheerleading, our dedicated and passionate team of therapists and medical professionals are here to help.

Given the experience and scope of our dance team of professionals, we are uniquely placed to be able to provide comprehensive management for all dancers and performers to prepare their bodies for the demands of classwork and performance and, wherever possible, to keep them in the studio and on stage.

Injury Management

Whether you require a physiotherapist, podiatrist, doctor, Pilates trained therapist or dietitian, we have the framework to manage your injury between one or multiple professionals.

Prepointe Assessments

To rise through demipointe onto pointe requires exceptional strength, not only in the foot and ankle, but also around the hips.

Screenings

SACE Dance Musculoskeletal Assessments, Tertiary Dance Council (TDC) Musculoskeletal Assessments and General Dance Musculoskeletal Assessments.

 

Conditioning for Performance

Supervised conditioning programs aimed at improving your body’s capacity to perform at its best.

Nutrition for Health & Performance

Tailored nutrition strategies aimed at the provision of sufficient energy availability to support healthy functioning of body systems, and to maximise performance and recovery.

Touring Artists and Shows

The depth of our dance team at sportsmed provides
a unique capacity to manage all components of the artists’ needs. We can treat in clinic or visit the theatre.
