About Dr Tom Gieroba

Hip and Knee Surgeon
Dr Tom Gieroba is an Australian-trained orthopaedic surgeon. He specialises in preventative care, treatment and rehabilitation for a range of hip and knee ailments, injuries and conditions. Dr Gieroba has undertaken further specialist fellowship training at St Vincent’s Hospital in Melbourne on arthroplasty and sarcoma surgery. He has a particular interest in joint replacement, trauma and fracture management and sports-related knee injuries. Trained in robotic surgical techniques, including robotic-arm assisted surgery with the Mako surgical robot, Dr Gieroba is able to offer his patients expert advice and a range of treatment options. For his hip replacement patients, Dr Gieroba is familiar with all approaches to the hip including the direct anterior approach. He currently consults at our Stepney Healthcare Hub. A GP referral is required to make an appointment with Dr Gieroba.
