Prevention

Seeing conditions early when symptoms first present allows for an accurate diagnosis to be made. With early intervention, our surgeons can provide the appropriate non-operative treatment plan along with activity modification advice to prevent disease or injury progression. In instances where surgery is necessary, our surgeons will discuss the options available to you and ensure they can operate in a timely fashion to prevent further complications.

Post-operatively, substantial patient education and information is given in order to prevent recurrence of the problem, while allowing a sensible return to pre-injury activity levels.

Treatment

Our orthopaedic surgeons treat and repair damaged or diseased bones, joints, muscles, ligaments, tendons and nerves. Their specialist expertise, knowledge and technical skills are paramount in achieving the best outcomes for our patients. Careful selection of patients suitable for surgery and managing expectations is an important part of the treatment program.
Dr Roger Paterson

Rehabilitation

Our surgeons and physiotherapists work closely together to develop rehabilitation programs tailored to individual patient needs, taking into account age, fitness, activity expectations, the operation and severity of the injury/condition. They regularly communicate throughout the recovery process to modify the program based on patient progress.
